The Chocobo Knights
Are you a fan of Final Fantasy, old or new? Posessed of an unholy love of chocobos? Can you vibe with being part of a group that likes to give back to the community? <TCK!> might be for you!
Who are we, and what do we do?Our goal is to foster a force of positivity within the FFXIV Community by paying it forward, uplifting fellow players, and countering toxicity with kindness.
Friends Transcend! We believe that Knights that play together, stay together. That's why we make time to do FC events every single week, and often hang out outside of XIV.
TCK is a space for everyone.Being a Knighthood means more to us than being the 178,925th "no drama Free Company, with a small in the Goblet and some chill 18+ peeps”. We're LQBTQIA+ inclusive, and our governing rules are designed to help players feel included, safe, and engaged.
Any of this resonating with you?Our Knights include mentors and omni-crafters who can be your Teachingways if you want, because we don’t believe in dunking on new players for being new.If you really love chocobos, want for a place to call home, and want to be part of an actual community interested in positive change, TCK is for you. Sure you can join for the buffs, but we're so much more than that.

The Knight's Code
The Knight's Code represents the code of conduct by which all members of The Chocobo Knights must abide. Visitors taking part in Discord discussions are likewise expected to observe these rules. Please feel free to reach out to TCK Staff if you have questions about any of the rules herein. Thank you.
>No hate speech or racism.
>No political opinions/arguments in chat.
>No NSFW in general chats or during events.
>No harassing sprouts.
>Don't be an instigator.
>Attempt to resolve conflicts before consulting staff* *unless severe code violations are involved
>Use chat for group events
1) The true Knight is an enemy to bigotry. Hate speech is not permitted under any circumstances. Deliberately racist/homophobic/trans-phobic/etc comments or jokes are never okay. “Spicy” or "dark memes" should be kept the the appropriate NSFW areas or in private messages with consenting parties, and content which advocates violence or discrimination as outlined in this rule is not allowed even in NSWF areas. This said, Final Fantasy XIV is rated a 13+ community, and a certain level of maturity is expected of all Knights.
2) The Knighthood is not a political platform. For a number of reasons, TCK does not affiliate with any political or ideological group. As such, political discussions in public chat areas are discouraged, and the rules governing respect and bigotry should continue to be applied at all times. Charitable events are held at the discretion of TCK staff, and must be reviewed before events are held.
3) A Knight does not engage in lewd behavior. Anything more mature than content found in Final Fantasy XIV should be kept to the appropriate NSFW areas or private chat with consenting parties. 18+ content does not belong in public channels, and unsolicited lewd messages are punishable.
4) A Knight never forgets their squire days. Harassment of newer players is not to be tolerated. Helping newer players is a core aspect of what we do. There is no requirement to offer assistance, although cooperation is always encouraged. However, one should never flame or disparage a newer player for their lack of knowledge; we were all new once.
5) Knights respect one another. Disagreements are a part of life, and every Knight will not be friends with every other. However, respect is the cornerstone of the covenant. Harassment in general is not tolerated, and snide comments, disparaging remarks, or needless instigation are punishable.
6) Disputes are to be resolved with honor. Before a Knight airs their grievance with a fellow Knight to an officer, an attempt should be made (within reason) to resolve the conflict amicably. Offenses that are demonstrably intentional, or which are severe violations of the Knight's Code (i.e. obviously bigoted behavior, etc.) are exceptions to this tenet, and may be reported to an officer immediately.
7) Communication is key. TCK is a social Free Company, and we value our Knights and sense of community. In order to effectively participate in discussions, or to communicate your needs to your fellow Knights, members are asked to have or procure access to a keyboard or reasonable substitute, or make use of the Discord server when requesting assistance or participating in content. This prevents difficulties and frustration when coordinating for Duty completion or event planning.
More About Us
Open communication is super important in what we do.
Our internal system of governance is "Chocomocracy", where all Knights are invited to be as engaged as they want to be. We use Discord to host meetings discussing everything from decorating to community events, and we keep the records of those meetings public & accessible.
